The first semester focuses on principles of hospitality operations, hospitality trends and disruptions, and how to innovate and drive creativity. In essence, how to move from ideas to business models. During the second semester, we focus more on creating value for the customer, and for your business in general. In other words, how to be profitable. We also think about the financial strategy for your business or startup, including raising funds and doing financial health checks. In addition to the classroom sessions with innovative pedagogy and experiential learning, there are two integrated pillars of the program, namely the field trip and the Innovation Week. During the field trip, we go and visit a city with a strong innovation ecosystem, and we look at the different players to analyze how they work together to foster innovation. The second pillar is Innovation Week, where students have the opportunity to work with innovation experts and apply practical methods to foster creativity and co-creation. During the week the students will develop prototypes and apply design thinking methodology to find solutions for cutting-edge customer experiences.
