Marine conservation needs more than scientists. It also needs storytellers, strategists, and problem-solvers. As part of the Social Impact Project (SIP), six master's students from ESMT Berlin partnered with the Marine Conservation Society Seychelles (MCSS) to help the organization expand its reach beyond the Seychelles and connect with more international donors, volunteers, and partners. Working closely with the MCSS team, the students designed a new website, developed a refreshed outreach strategy and new pitch decks, and equipped the organization with the tools and knowledge to manage its digital presence independently. During their time in the Seychelles, they also joined a beach cleanup and visited a local school, gaining first-hand insight into the communities and ecosystems at the heart of MCSS's mission. The Social Impact Project is a five-week consulting project for students in ESMT Berlin's master's and full-time MBA programs. It gives students the opportunity to apply their management skills to real-world challenges while supporting organizations that create positive social impact.
