Keeping Business Relevant in the Digital Age with Professors Kathryn Brohman & Nick Graham
Digital transformation will touch all organizations, large and small, that need to ensure they remain relevant for our times, say Kathryn Brohman, Distinguished Faculty Fellow of Digital Technology at Smith School of Business, and Nick Graham, a professor of computer science, both of Queen’s University.

In this video, Profs. Brohman and Graham caution that organizations need to invest as much attention to digitally transforming their back-end processes and workflows across silos as they do to the products and services they offer. They explain that the role of the digital product manager is to act as a bridge and a guide. As such, they must be able to speak the language of the organization’s various business units and identify areas with potential synergy or conflict.

The ideal digital product manager has three core values: seeing the possibilities as well as potential dark side of digital transformation; helping people connect and work with one another; and having self-discipline.

Profs. Brohman and Graham are co-leaders of the new Master of Digital Product Management at Queen’s University.
